Frequently Asked Questions

"Do I need to provide any cleaning products?"

Nope! I will bring all the cleaning products I need. I just need running water! I would also like to use your toilet brush and vacuum, if available. If not, I can provide my own.

"Are you bonded & insured?"

Julie's Cleaning is insured with Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance, with a million dollars in liability coverage. This covers me and anyone employed by me.

“Can I have you wear a mask while cleaning my home?”

Yes. This service is at a premium of $5/hr

"How long will it take to clean my house?"

For estimating purposes only: in terms of square feet, on average we clean 400-550sq. ft per hour, but it can range as slow as 220 sq ft/hr (hasn’t been cleaned in over a year, for example) or as fast as 800 square feet per hour (very clean and minimalist, for example). Bathrooms take the longest, followed by kitchens.

"Can I just pay you to clean for a certain amount of time?"

Absolutely. You can decide whatever you want to pay, and I will clean for that amount of time. Just give me a list of what is a priority and I will start from there!

"How often should you come?"

The most common frequency is every 2 weeks. You might want to do weekly if you have a heavy-shedding animal and/or lots of people (esp. young children) living in the house, or you might want to do monthly if there isn’t too much traffic on a day-to-day basis.

"Do you usually clean while the homeowners are home, or away?"

We will get done faster if we can have the house to ourselves, but it’s up to you and what you are comfortable with.

"I have a small office/small business. Do you do commercial cleaning?"

I can certainly clean a small business. We work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm so if that works for you, that works for us!

"Can I change what you do each time?"

Of course! Just let us know. This is why I don’t charge “per job” - you pay for the time we spend cleaning; no more, no less.
